Saily eSIM Review 2026: Tested in 14 Countries

By SIM Guide Editorial·Independent testing·Updated June 2026
The verdict

Saily earns its place for one specific reason: it is the only eSIM in this comparison that bundles a real VPN. If you routinely connect to hotel, airport, or cafe Wi-Fi, encrypting that traffic without a separate subscription has genuine value. Outside the VPN differentiator, pricing and support response times are mid-tier.

How to activate Saily

  1. 1
    Purchase on Saily

Select a destination and data size on the Saily website or app. A QR code arrives by email after payment. The Nord Security VPN profile installs alongside the eSIM.

  2. 2
    Open phone eSIM settings

On iPhone: Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM. On Android: Settings > Connections > SIM manager > Add eSIM.

  3. 3

Scan the QR from your Saily confirmation email. Both the eSIM and VPN profile install on your device.

  4. 4

Saily FAQ

How much does Saily cost?

Saily plans start at $2.99 per GB across 200+ destinations. A 5 GB Europe plan costs $14.95. All plans include the Nord Security VPN at no extra charge.

Is Saily by NordVPN?

Saily is a standalone brand from Nord Security, the company behind NordVPN. The VPN bundled with Saily plans uses Nord Security infrastructure. It is not the full NordVPN app, but the encryption standard is the same.

Is Saily worth it?

Saily scores 8.5/10. It is the only eSIM in our comparison that includes a real VPN. If you frequently use public Wi-Fi and already pay for a separate VPN subscription, Saily can consolidate your costs. Support is email-only with 12–24 hour response times.

Does Saily have unlimited plans?

No. Saily offers fixed-data plans only, priced per GB. There is no unlimited daily tier. For unlimited data, Holafly or HelloRoam daily plans are the alternatives.

Can I get a refund from Saily?

Saily offers a 30-day refund on unused plans. Contact email support to request a refund. Partially used plans are refunded at Saily's discretion.
